The Senate is currently considering global warming legislation (the Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act) that contains huge polluter giveaways and doesn’t achieve the emissions reductions that scientists say we need. What’s worse is that the bill is likely to be weakened even more in coming days as compromises are made to try to get the bill to passage.
Tell your senators to fix or ditch this bill, and come back next year under a new president to pass effective global warming legislation.
